BMW
Homecoming is the largest gathering of BMW Z's and
enthusiasts in the world with 500+ Z's of every model. Each year
over Labor Day Weekend the BMW Manufacturing plant hosts -
homecoming. Z owners are invited to come to Greer, SC where their Z
was created.
Along
with 500+ other Z owners, you can learn more about your car
and share the enthusiasm with other owners. The performance center
offers various driving courses where you learn many maneuvering
techniques that are built in to your Z. The vendor's tents give you
insight to ways to personalize and upgrade your Z. The fellowship
and friends you will make bring you back to homecoming year after
year. It is just plain fun.
Starting
with convoys from all major areas of the USA - just getting
there is half the fun. Whether you go through Deals Gap and conquer
the Dragon or cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway. The convoys to
homecoming are a fun and beautiful adventure to make the trek to SC.
BMW
hosted dinners - both Friday and Saturday night dinners are
hosted by BMW Mfg. They offer good food, entertainment and
opportunity for lots of socializing with your favorite new Z
enthusiast. Dinner, dancing and a show, where else can you get all
this.
The
Panoramic Photo - a massive picture of all 500+ Z's. You will
definitely want one for your wall. It is AWE-zome to see all those
Z's. Line up starts at 7 am and the photo is taken at 10 am on
Saturday. Don't be left out.
Tech
tent allows you to have minor dings and repairs done to your
Z to keep it in the most pristine condition possible. BMW Mfg plant
employees do all the work.
The
Zentrum Museum and Plant Tour offer history and insight into
the making of the ultimate driving machine. While the gift shop
offers items that allow you to display your enthusiasm even when you
are not driving your Z. Hats, jackets, models and pens are just a
few of the items that let you show your loyalty. And you won't want
to forget to purchase your official homecoming 2007 t-shirt.
The
Performance Center is available for driving courses from off-roading
with the all-new X5 to working the skid pad in a Z4 coupe. Whichever
course event you choose, the experience will give you a whole new
appreciation for your Z and it's capabilities.
The
convoy home is just as happening as the convoy to homecoming.
